Yuot Institute for Energy Studies attends Africa Investment Exchange (AIX): Power Systems & Markets in Nairobi, Kenya, 29-30 April 2026
The AIX meeting focuses on evolving new models to deliver and scale critical power infrastructure for businesses and communities across increasingly interconnected markets in East, Central, and Southern Africa. Held under the Chatham House Rule, the program will bring together leading private- and public-sector investors, African officials, and project developers for two days of meaningful discussion and networking. We are pleased to be selected as one of the panellists under the scaling of baseload supply. In this discussion, we are going to answer four questions as follows:
- What is the potential for solar battery hybrids in delivering solar baseload?
- New interest in hydropower projects.
- The role of thermal power in the energy mix going forward.
- Where are the geothermal opportunities across East Africa?
